SQL-Editor

This menu item allows direct access to the database. When started, all tables in the database are listed below the ‘Input fields’ with type and date. When entering a different request, the corresponding result is displayed.

Tables

Info

‘Info’ lists database-specific information about the fields (columns) of the selected table. Select a table using the drop down list of the input field ‘Tables’.

Show

The records of the selected table are displayed with the contents of all fields stored in the data base, including the LIMBAS internal fields.

Empty

All Data records of the table selected in the ‘select field’ will be deleted

Delete

The table selected in the ‘select field’ will be deleted.

System Info

Select a System Table using the drop down list of the input field ‘System Information’. Which system tables are available, depends on the database used.

SQL Query

Any SQL statements specified in the text box, which are supported by the database, can be carried out.

• Ctrl+Space: SQL-keyword autocomplete
• Ctrl+Return: Run query

Automatic Formatting

If you enter an unformatted code into the Limbas SQL-Editor, it will be formatted automatically.
