Versioning

The versioning of data records in LIMBAS can be adjusted for individual requirements using various configurations:

The Table Settings enable /disable the versioning of data records per table. For tables with 1: N links it has to be distinguished, whether a fixed or recursive versioning is to be done.

When versioning is enabled, the Table Rights of a group define the versioning type for each table (manual/automatic) for the user of a group. For automatic versioning, the table fields, where a change of the content triggers the creation of a new version, have to be defined. The option ‘Show All Versioned’ allows in addition access to not just the latest version but also to older versions.

Please note, if you delete a versioned data records all copies of this record are deleted . Otherwise the changes cannot be traced from one version to the next.
