Profile Filters and Search Templates Estimated reading: 2 minutes General Filters make it easy to limit tables to only display the necessary information. They determine which columns of a table should be displayed and can also limit entries to match certain values (e.g., name begins with ‘A’). Setup For an existing table, a filter can be set up by selecting the columns to be assigned in View > Show Fields and the data range in the search menu (edit > search, or top right the search button). Then save via Extras > Filter > Save As. Usage Tables can be opened directly with a filter, via a shortcut in the workspace. Additionally, a filter can be set via the table menu Extras > Filter > Filter name or the selection at the top right. Manage Created filters can be managed via Profile > myLimbas > Filters. Switch to table view Share filter and manage user rights Delete filter Search templates General Search templates are similar to filters. Instead of pre-filtering the entire table, search templates simplify the search. They allow the desired search fields to be selected quickly, which can save time for frequently conducted searches. Setup Search templates can be created via the detail search menu of the respective table. Simply select the desired columns and after filling in the name at the bottom select “Save search as”. Usage In the detail search menu of the respective table there is a new selection at the top right after creating a search template, from which all existing templates can be chosen. Manage See Filter Management. Some functions require permissions. If needed, please contact your administrator.
